Bluffton man appears on new Tim Allen-Richard Karn show Assembly Required | 98 7 The River

By Mark Robertson Mar 3, 2021 Alex Coplo , a Bluffton architectural model and renderings specialist was contacted by producers from the new History Channel show, “Assembly Required,” to be part of the cast. “They saw my postings on Instagram and reached out to me. At first, I’m thinking this is just a joke, but the more they reached out, the more I saw it was real.” Coplo would be doing the show with hosts Tim Allen and Richard Karn, who previously paired together on the long-running ABC sitcom, “Home Improvement.” History Channel producers came to Bluffton in November to film Coplo’s segment. He was supposed to be part of the show’s seventh episode, but show executives were so impressed with Coplo and his competitors, his episode was moved to be the Feb. 23 premiere of the show!

Phoenix Artist Sean French Went From Burning Man to the History Channel

For years, Phoenix-based artist Sean T French has been showing his futuristic sculptures in local galleries and gatherings like Burning Man. Now, the rest of the world will get a peek at his body of work, which often blends history, science, and mythology: He s appearing on a new TV series called Assembly Required, which premieres February 23 on the History Channel at 8 p.m., Phoenix time. French is one of three makers featured on the first episode of the show, which is hosted by Tim Allen and Richard Karn, who starred in the 90s sitcom Home Improvement, along with DIY woodworker and YouTube personality April Wilkerson. The network describes it as “a new competition series that spotlights the best and brightest builders from across the country.”
