The Canadiens lost 2-1 to the Canucks in a shootout Monday night in Vancouver and are now 0-4 in overtime and 0-3 in shootouts this season. That’s seven lost points as the Canadiens’ record fell to 11-6-7 and they remain in fourth place in the all-Canadian North Division.

Bring on the Canucks: Toffoli was an absolute beast when the Canadiens last visited the Lower Mainland in January on their season-opening trek. The 28-year-old right-winger registered seven points (5 goals, 2 assists) in three games. That included a hat trick on January 20 and another three-point performance (2 goals, 1 assist) on January 21 as well. Toffoli has been a thorn in his former team s side so far this season, amassing 11 points (8 goals, 3 assists) in five meetings with Vancouver. The nine-year veteran leads the Canadiens with 15 goals, which has him tied for second in the League alongside Edmonton s Connor McDavid. Toffoli also ranks second on the roster with 21 points, one point back of Petry. He is currently riding a three-game goal streak.
