Portuguese Naval Frigate Equipped with Alewijnse Multi-Function Consoles Our Bureau 596
Bartolomeu Dias (F333) on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Defense.
The delivery of new consoles for her sister ship,
Francisco de Almeida (F334), is scheduled to be completed this summer.
The M-frigates
Bartolomeu Dias and
Francisco de Almeida, are currently being modernised in Den Helder by the Defensie Materieel Organisatie (DMO) and the Directie Maritieme Instandhouding (DMI) of the Commando Zee Strijd Krachten (CZSK). Systems integrator Alewijnse was contracted in 2019 for the design, construction, assembly and commissioning of the multi-function consoles (MFCs), the auxiliary control units of the command centres (CoCe) and completely new Radio Room Consoles (RRC).
After hitting the water in early spring 2020, the Amels 180 Limited Editions superyacht,
Galene, was first seen gracing the waters of the Mediterranean before heading to the Caribbean for the winter. With sleek lines by Tim Heywood Design and a calm and light interior by Laura Sessa,
Galene has a detailed deck plan with key social spaces for up to 12 guests and 13 crew.

Galene s standout features. Another impressive aspect of her design can be found in the choice of interior lighting. Notably, the builder’s and owner’s teams were given free rein in choosing the best supplier for this important job.
