Alessandro Del Piero joins ESPN as studio analyst for ESPN FC broadcasts
Italian National Team standout and one of the greatest soccer players of his generation, Alessandro Del Piero has joined ESPN as a soccer analyst. Del Piero will appear on ESPN FC, the critically acclaimed daily soccer studio program exclusive to ESPN+. He will make his debut on Saturday, March 6, at 8 p.m. ET, providing postgame analysis on Juventus vs. Lazio match (2:45 p.m.) and other Serie A matchups of the day.
Del Piero’s professional career spanned 23 years, including 19 seasons at Juventus FC, the most heralded club in Italian soccer. One of the country’s most iconic players, Del Piero began his career with Padova in 1991 and made his first-team debut at 17 years old in a Serie B match in March 1992. New Delhi, Mar 4 (efe-epa).- The Indian Super League – the premier soccer league of the country – is set to kick off its knockout stage on Friday with an ample presence of Spanish players and support staff in the four teams vying for the title, with all matches being played in the same city to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The final stage of the competition, which will be played in the western state of Goa like the league matches, will consist of home and away knockout semifinals between the four table-toppers: Mumbai City FC, ATK Mohun Bagan, NorthEast United FC and FC Goa.
Living in Los Angeles, Alessandro Del Piero found a good fit working for ESPN. The former Italy and Juventus star who retired after the 2014 season will debut on ESPNFC this Saturday during postgame coverage of the Serie A match between Juventus and Lazio. Del Piero also will continue as an analyst with with Sky Sports Italia.
