I read with total disgust the excellent article by Eric Rogers and Alessandro Marazzi Sassoon in the May 8 edition of FLORIDA TODAY. The actions of County Commission Chair Rita Pritchett at the May 4 commission meeting are mind-boggling. From the article, it is obvious that the other commissioners were confused, as was the county staff.
The item about halting the administration of fluoride at the county-run water treatment facility in North Brevard was not on the agenda. There was no opportunity for input by the public, and there was no expert scientific input. I mean, talk about railroading a commission vote.
