A museum in Vilnius, Lithuania, has launched an exhibition featuring the work of five female Belarusian photojournalists covering the protests against the Belarusian dictator, Alexander Lukashenko. Meanwhile, in Belarus itself, culture is being “suffocated”, says a new Amnesty report.
An exhibition highlighting the brutal repression carried out by the Belarusian authorities against the country’s opposition, and the bravery of the many women who have formed human chains, often holding flowers, has opened in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius.

Alena Bandarenka, the mother of
Raman Bandarenka, turned to the disciplinary committee of the International Ice Hockey Federation. The video message was published by Tribuna. 64 days have passed since my only son, Raman Bandarenka, died. 64 days of ignoring, silence, surveillance, intimidation, leaking personal information and telephone conversations to the media, Alena says.
Raman s mother recalls that a criminal case on the fact of death has not yet been initiated, and she cannot get acquainted with the results of the check. During this time, numerous interviews were conducted with witnesses who kidnapped and beat my son to death right on the playground. I know there are numerous interview reports, videos, and much more evidence. But at the moment, I am no longer sure that the suspects in my son s case will appear, although the case has been taken under the personal control of Aliaksandr Lukashenka, Raman s mother says.
