Jack Wakely has been out of contract for less than a month following his release from Chelsea, and has now been snapped up by League One club Wycombe Wanderers on a two-year deal. He even immediately started Wycombe’s 1-0 preseason victory against Leicester City last night!

The transfer window has shut last night, without much of anything happening for Chelsea, but there were a couple of more minor moves of note.
Chelsea U18 striker Malik Mothersille has moved to Derby County U18 on loan, the clubs have confirmed.
Derby County Academy are pleased to confirm the loan signing of Chelsea s 17-year-old forward Malik Mothersille for the remainder of the season.
The 17-year-old was signed from Leyton Orient last summer, and has made a solitary appearance for the U18 side. While a move to a fellow U18 side is a bit unusual, Chelsea do have an abundance of strikers at that level, with Jude Soonsup-Bell, Bryan Fiabema and Aleksi Heino already present on the roster. Presumably, Mothersille will be better off seeking game-time elsewhere in the short term.
