The Eurasian Economic Union should take concerted measures to remove barriers to commodity flows, Belarusian First Deputy Transport and Communication Minister Aleksei Lyakhnovich said during a panel discussion at the Eurasian Economic Forum.
The bill was brought into the lower chamber of the Belarusian parliament by the Council of Ministers on 8 September. It was developed for the sake of ratifying the Belarusian-Russian intergovernmental agreement, which was signed in Moscow on 19 February 2021.
First Deputy Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Lyakhnovich and Governor of Astrakhan Oblast Igor Babushkin signed the implementation plan of the current agreement at the meeting of the working group on cooperation.
The diplomat noted that Iran would like to resume flights with Belarus. Belavia used to operate regular flights between Minsk and Tehran, but in October 2017 it stopped flying to Iran due to a drop in passenger traffic.
