It is important that we protect our national interests and sovereignty by joint efforts, State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich told reporter.
The active phase of the Collective Security Treaty Organization's special exercise for rescue units Skala 2023 [Rock] took place in Borisov District, Minsk Oblast on 5 September. Belarusian rescue workers as well as their colleagues from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan took part in it.
Aleksandr Volfovich said: “Constant fruitful cooperation in matters of national security unites member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. Belarus presides over the organization this year. We've focused on improving the training of forces and assets that belong to the collective response system.”
Aleksandr Volfovich clarified that the Security Council session had been dedicated to analyzing the foreign political situation, existing threats and challenges to national security efforts. Various proposals were put forward before the president.
