Where the suspect was tracked down. Reporter yeah, this is as close as we can get to the last crime scene. The house where the gunman barricaded himself for about four hours. Deputies finally got inside that house around 4 00 and arrested the man without anyone else getting hurt. A far cry from how this all started. Officer down, officer down reporter it was a chaotic scene as a deputy saw his partner get shot in the face. It started around 10 30 this morning outside sacramento. Two deputies walked up to a suspicious car. Investigators say a man and woman were inside. They say the man shot one of the deputies at close range in the head killing that deputy. They say the suspects then tried to carjack a driver. When that driver fought back, he was shot in the head, as well. His condition is unknown.
