The Region was well-represented when the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association released its all-state selections Tuesday.
Bishop Noll s Courtney Blakely and Michigan City s Trinity Thompson were both named to the IBCA Senior All-State Supreme 15 team, while Crown Point duo Jessica Carrothers and Lilly Stoddard, who led the Bulldogs to their third girls basketball state title Saturday, were selected to the IBCA Underclass All-State Supreme 15 team. A lot of stuff that we do offensively involves the pick and roll game with those two, and defensively we re aggressive, and Lilly is just that rock for us at the basket. I think this is a great accomplishment for them.
ST. JOHN â Holly Kaim is no stranger to big moments.

She followed that up this fall by helping the Mustangs volleyball team make its first state final appearance in program history, eventually finishing as the Class 4A runner-up.
âThis past (calendar) year has been great sports-wise,â Kaim said. âI just hope to keep it going in my last basketball season.â
Munster graduated a strong senior class last spring, headlined by St. Johnâs recruit Sara Zabrecky and her cousin Emily Zabrecky. Both guards were among the best 3-point shooters in the Region during their prep careers, but this season the team has retooled its identity to utilize Kaim more in the post.
