One dead, another in custody after north side Pueblo shooting

One suspect, 20-year-old Alec Romero, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the shooting. Pueblo County Coroner Brian Cotter identified the victim as 36-year-old Tyler Wood. Wood s next of kin has been notified. Officers responded to a call of shots fired near 2nd Avenue and 29th Street around 2:45 a.m. According to a release issued by Pueblo Police, officers found a man, later identified as Wood, who suffered a gunshot wound and began lifesaving efforts until paramedics arrived on the scene. First responders were unable to save Wood who died at the scene.. According to the release, officers and investigators surmised that a disturbance between the Wood and Romero occurred at a social gathering at a residence in the area.
