The building, 23550 Commerce Park, was purchased by the city more than a decade ago after it served as the offices and warehouse of Jo-Ann Fabrics stores. The city is selling the northern portion of the building for $2.7 million to Industrial Commercial Properties (ICP), of Solon. The company refurbishes such large commercial and industrial properties for reuse and lease. Mayor Kathy U. Mulcahy read the entire letter at the Village Council meeting Wednesday (Jan. 13). She noted that it was signed by 28 Jewish elected officials on the East Side of Cleveland and its suburbs, including herself and five members of Orange council.
