The school board unanimously voted to rescind its plans of eminent domain and cease all negotiations related to seizing Upchurch's land to build a parking lot.
Trustees for the Houston-area school district voted unanimously Monday to revoke their previous decisions to acquire two 1-acre properties, one of which has been Travis Upchurch's home of 46 years, through eminent domain.
