Lynnwood construction accident cuts power to more than 3,000 customers KIRO 7 News Staff
Nearly 3,300 Snohomish PUD customers were without power after a construction accident in Lynnwood Monday morning.
Alderwood Mall Blvd. was closed at 44th Ave W after a lift truck hit a power line, South Snohomish Fire officials said. The road has since reopened.
The construction site was evacuated and the person in the lift truck had to be rescued. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution and appeared to be unhurt..
Power was restored by 9:30 a.m.
A worker was rescued from a lift truck that hit a powerline at a Lynnwood construction site this morning. PUD grounded the power, then used a lift truck to bring the worker to the ground.
