Marshfieldâs Board of Aldermen regular council meeting held Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. resulted in a city-wide ordinance requiring masks until the end of March unless otherwise cancelled or extended. The ordinance passed with a 3-1 vote.Â
At the last meeting, Nov. 19, the executive order was issued stating, âAll persons including employees or visitors, over the age of 10 shall wear a face covering when present at a place of public accommodation.â
âWhen we issued the executive order, I used state data in that as well as the Governorâs recommendation and guidance that he provided,â Mayor Natalie McNish explained. âThat provided three categories of risk and at the time that the executive order was issued, we were in extreme risk.â
