WATERBURY - Board of Aldermen President Paul K. Pernerewski Jr. narrowly defeated businesswoman Dawn Maiorano to become the city's 47th mayor.
Unofficial results show Pernerewski with 6,257 votes, winning over Maiorano by 561 votes.
