In its first in-person meeting since January, the Annapolis City Council on Monday night extended outdoor dining permissions for restaurants until mid-June.
A declaration is supposed to also bring an end to the use of parking lots for outdoor dining in the city, but a new resolution could continue the practice for another year.
The council approved resolution R-9-22 by a vote of 9-0 after a lengthy public hearing with testimony from about a half dozen residents, some of whom called on the council to delay a final vote to allow additional time to review the proposal, which was first discussed publicly last week.
