Yoga classes at the detention center, teaching both juveniles in custody and staff once a week. Its been going so well, one undation awarded the county a 5 thousandndollar grant to train more instructors to expand the program. Those in custody say at fst they were skeptical, but now see the benefits of the class. It like calms me down if im frustrated and i get frustrated some times. Ive had kids tell me when theyre in their rooms at night they use this to fall asleep. Ive had kids with anger control issues use this to calm themselves down.
