SEVIERVILLE â Candidates are starting to return petitions to seek office in the upcoming municipal elections for Sevierville, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
To run for office in one of the city elections, candidates have to pick up a petition from the Sevier County Election Commission and then return it with signatures from at least 25 people registered to vote in their city.
They have until noon on Feb. 18 to return a completed petition, so it can be reviewed and certified by the election commission.
In Sevierville, Joey Ohman has returned a petition to run for Seat B, which is currently held by Alderman Jimmy McGill. McGill has picked up a petition, but had not yet returned one at press time.
