Illinois State Police to conduct alcohol countermeasure enforcement patrols

Macomb, Ill.- Illinois State Police District 14 Commander, Captain Jon Dively, has announced that ISP will conduct Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement patrols in Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, and Fulton Counties during October. According to a news release, ACE patrols allow the ISP to focus on preventing, detecting, and taking enforcement action in response to violations associated with impaired driving and illegal transportation or consumption of alcohol or drugs. Officers working the detail will be on the lookout for drivers operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked license, transporting open alcoholic beverages, as well as Driving under the Influence, Safety Belt and Child Restraint use, Speeding, Distracted Driving, and All Illinois Vehicle Code and Criminal Violations.
