Minister of Seniors and Housing Josephine Pon issued the following statement on the fire at the Citadel Mews seniors complex in St. Albert:

“My heart goes out to the seniors who lost their homes in the terrible fire at the Citadel Mews complex in St. Albert May 6.
“The building was evacuated thanks to the quick and skilled actions of emergency crews.
“Three residents were transported to hospital. My thoughts are with those seniors and their loved ones, and I am praying for their quick recovery.
