Richard Hill, a writer from Sault Ste. Marie, describes storytelling as an “addictive drug” in which he uses writing as a need for self-expression.
Hill has lived in many popular Michigan cities such as Marquette, Traverse City and Ann Arbor. He moved back to the Sault in the early 90s to kickstart a number of ventures, including starting a family and a furniture business.
Hill is an avid reader of many genres and has a love for history, short stories and classic novels. Hill graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1981 with a major in art and design with a concentration in furniture design. Hill and his wife, Judy, now own a small retail business in Traverse City.
