A 16-year-old girl in Behchokǫ̀, N.W.T., describes her arrest by RCMP earlier this month, captured on video, as aggressive and unnecessary. Police say the girl had punched an officer.
RCMP will not say whether a conduct investigation will be launched into two Yellowknife officers who were earlier facing charges for assaulting an Indigenous woman in custody. The charges were stayed in June.
