Dimapur, Oct. 23 (EMN): Moving a step ahead towards formation of higher level of federation of rural poor women under DAY-NRLM, the Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU), Longmatra block, under Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) has formed block level federations (BLFs) on October 18. The BLFs were formed under the guidance and support of a team from resource block Kiphire, Ripise Sangtam, BPM Kiphire, and Piose Anar, Ac-IBCB Kiphire Block, an update informed. During the launching programme, the resource persons said BLF is an organisation/ institute that bring together all village organisations and non-VLO from the blocks. Resource persons informed that BLFs are formed with an objective to provide space, voice, better bargaining power and resources to the poor and reducing their dependence on external agencies.
