Andover man in court for being almost eight times the drug-drive limit

An Andover woman has been given a community order after admitting dealing drugs. Zoe-Marie Kellett, of Florence Court, admitted supplying Flualprozolam and Pregabalin, which are both controlled drugs of Class C. Flualprozolam is a type of tranquilizer, whilst Pregabalin is used to treat epilepsy and fibromyalgia, among other conditions. It happened between February 1 and July 8, 2020. The 44-year-old also admitted to stealing a £40 paddling pool from Asda. Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, she was given a four week curfew, where she must stay at her home or rear garden between 7pm and 7am each night. She was also told to pay £135 in costs and surcharges.

In the courts: Woman accused of begging has case dropped

A woman who was accused of begging in Andover has had her case dropped. Lisa Jane Roy, of no fixed abode, was charged with four counts of begging in Andover in the summer of 2020. Documents show that she allegedly committed the offences in High Street on August 1 and 7, Union Street on August 7 and George Yard of July 22. However, the 35-year-old s case was withdrawn, with court documents citing that the prosecution was not in the public interest. An Andover man has denied assaulting two people in the town last year. Lee Patrick Trumper, of King George Road, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault by beating.
