395 in arlington. sources say a canadian woman and her daughter answered the door just before midnight saturday. the woman answered the door thinking it was a grandson staying in a nearby room. it was definitely a robbery. he robbed the victims while he was in the hotel room. he did restrain both of the female victims. one of them was in the 50s and the other in the 70s and sexual assaulted one of them while in the hotel room. reporter: the man bound the woman s feet with materials found inside the hotel room, sexual assaulted the younger woman, then left with cash and other items stolen from the victim. we don t have any reason to believe that this is connected to any other crimes in the area. this is the first type of robbery that we ve had of this sort. reporter: hotel staff says an off duty arlington county police officer works security every night from 10:00 to 3:00 a.m. patrolling property and standing guard in the lobby. he was unaware of the room invasion beca
