A bagel-focused bakery called Nyx that operates from a commercial kitchen in Albany has opened. Its bagels are for sale at the Delmar Farmers Market and for pickup and local delivery. There is not a retail storefront.
Last month,
home-baking delivery operation prior to it takeout location opening in late summer in Albany’s Whitehall neighborhood.
Nyx bagels cost $2.50 each for plain, $3 for flavors including everything, black-and-white sesame, cheddar-scallion, “super seed” and gojuchang black sesame. Nyx, with a tagline of “A Scratch Baking Co.,” also offers muffins ($3-$4), macarons ($2.50) and cookies ($2). Its products are made exclusively with organic flour grown and milled in New York.
