Elizabeth Delores Hodge (nee Badalato), 84, of Mission Viejo, CA passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes on May 10, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held at Presbyterian Church of the Master, 26051 Marguerite Pkwy, Mission Viejo, CA on May 28, 2021 at 1 PM. Elizabeth (Liz) was born May 16, 1936 in Watertown, NY to the late Chester Badalato and Frances Pecori. After graduating from Watertown High School and Albany State Teachers college, Liz spent her life in the service of childhood education for both elementary and pre-school students. Liz resided in Orange County, CA since 1973 and most recently spent two decades teaching pre-school in Laguna Beach for both Head Start and the Even Start program at the Boys And Girls Club , influencing many young lives in the area. Mrs. Flora C. (Conca) Clark, age 96 1/2, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 5 May 2021 in Canton, NY, with her daughter Leslie by her side and those she loved most in her heart.
Born in Utica, NY on 21 October 1924, Flora was the daughter of the late Louis and Philomena (DeNicola) Conca. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School/Class of 1942 and she received Masters Degrees in French and Spanish from The Albany State Teachers College. She taught at Sherrill High School in Sherrill, NY where she met the love of her life, Charles Herbert (Charlie) Clark. She later taught at the Vernon, Verona, Sherrill (VVS) Central High School. Flora and Charlie were married on 19 Aug 1949 in St. Agnes Church in Utica, NY. Brought together through their mutual interest in education and their lifelong love of their Christmas Tree Farm in Western NY, they were an inspiration to their three children and three grandchildren. Charlie died on 28 August 1987.
