Albany principal resigns as district transitions to 3 middle schools

ALBANY David Bernsley, the principal at Edmund J. O’Neal Middle School of Excellence and Tony Clement Center for Education, will step down after two years on the job, with his resignation effective Aug. 31, 2021, according to an agreement approved last month by the Albany school board.
Previously, he worked as a high school principal in the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District.
