FIRE crews have launched an investigation after a car fire spread to a two-storey building. Three fire crews from Dorchester, Weymouth and Bere Regis were called around 10.30pm yesterday to a blaze in High Street Fordington, Dorchester. Reports suggest the fire happened in one of the carpark lots at the Foundry Place. Eyewitness Alastair Clark said: The car was parked in a car port off High Street. The car port is below flats and the fire brigade extinguished the fire, and were dousing the ceiling of the car port below the flats with water as I watched. There was a lot of smoke, but no ambulances were present - so hopefully no-one was injured.
