Whether you’re going fishing or hiking, or have your heart set on seeing bears in the wild, there’s an adventure with your name on it in Alaska. There’s also a small army of folks who are getting ready to drive the bus, make the beds, serve the dinner and lead your expedition. These travel industry folks are not in your “bubble.” That means there are extra safety protocols for guests and employees, specifically regarding COVID-19, testing and vaccinations.
Wildlife is back, and this is the best time to see them

Whether we are watching or not, they are always there! The pandemic has not been a crisis for them. In fact, according to the experts, the wildlife in our world is not only acting differently, they are thriving!
The humpback whale in Alaska was cited as a perfect example of this change. Last year s cruise season was to have been a record breaking year. Over 1.4 million tourists and glacier gazers should have visited this great land, but, then, Covid 19 cancelled all their plan, and, at this time, the pandemic has done the same for this summer. Only smaller U.S. flagged cruise boats carrying a maximum of 190 passenger with the appropriate medical conditions onboard to treat covid patients will have the privilege of porting and plying the waters of Alaska.

The fate of the 2021 Alaska tourism season is still very much an unknown for the large international cruise lines that operate vessels with thousands of passengers, but small vessel operators are preparing to get back to touring the Inside Passage.
