Top staffers at the Nevada Democratic Party resigned en masse on Saturday, hours after supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) won election to control most positions on the committee’s board.

The entire staff of the Nevada Democratic Party resigned after a slate of Democratic Socialists took complete control of the organization’s leadership.
The resignations were announced in a letter reacting to the results of elections held over the past weekend, The Intercept reports:
“NOT LONG AFTER Judith Whitmer won her election on Saturday to become chair of the Nevada Democratic Party, she got an email from the party’s executive director, Alana Mounce…She was quitting. So was every other employee. And so were all the consultants.”
