06:20 EDT, 25 January 2021 Former Manchester United footballer Ronnie Wallwork has appeared in court accused of fracturing a man s eye socket during a pub brawl. The ex-Premiership midfielder was charged with causing grievous bodily harm following allegations he and a friend attacked Alan Mulholland while the victim was talking to them. Mr Mulholland claimed he was headbutted in the alleged incident at a bar in Tameside, Greater Manchester, in December 2019. He suffered facial swelling and a bloodshot eye, and needed three stitches for a wound to his face. Barber shop may have to leave Prestonpans if security shutter has to be removed

A BARBER shop owner who installed a security shutter on the advice of police after a series of attacks says he may have to relocate from Prestonpans after he was ordered to remove it by planning officials. Alan Mulholland spent more than £5,000 putting in the shutter at the Prestonpans branch of his Eskquire barber shops after they were targeted by vandals last year. But when he applied for listed building consent for the change to the building, which is Category-C listed, officials ruled the pale grey shutters were “harmful” to its historic character. However, they did approve a separate application to be allowed to display the barber shop logo on the front of the shutter.
