Photo / Supplied OPINION: The All Blacks have long had a saying: leave the jersey in a better place . Their task is to represent all those who were All Blacks before them and all those who are to follow. At the end of the last Speedway season the Rotorua Stockcar Club (RSC) decided to change its flag.

Rotorua Rebels beat Glen Eagles to win Teams Champs final

Jordan Dare nearly rolled Auckland Allstars. Speedway: The Panthers’ demise in their semifinal of the Teams’ Champs on Sunday night was in no small way thanks to two Palmerston North drivers. A long 35 years of failure is over for the Rotorua Rebels who brilliantly won the 2021 Teams’ Champs against the Canterbury Glen Eagles in front of the sold out crowd. The Rebels last won the title in 1986 having made a losing finals appearance in 2002. The Panthers were thumped by a well-organised Glen Eagles. It was a brilliant blocking drive from Jayden Ward and a winning drive from Darrel Wallace, both from Palmerston North, that paved the way to the Glen Eagles’ semifinal win at the Robertson Holden Speedway.
