The actor s niece confirmed the heartbreaking news in a Facebook post on Monday.
Alan s niece, Lee-Ann, said her uncle passed away peacefully.
Sharing photographs of her uncle with family members, she wrote: Early December 2020 my mums brother Alan Igbon my uncle passed away peaceful. He is well known for being an actor in Boys from the black stuff, Scum, GBH, Coronation st, Brookside and many more. R.i.e.p.
Friends and family shared the condolences with the actor s niece on the post.
