Alamo Drafthouse Laredo sets reopening later this year April 29, 2021 FacebookTwitterEmail The Laredo Alamo Drafthouse reopened during the pandemic before closing again in September.Danny Zaragoza /Laredo Morning Times file As the City of Laredo starts slowly on the path to normalcy, Laredo s film lovers have one more thing to celebrate as Laredo s Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has now announced that it will reopen later this year.  The Laredo theater, which offers full restaurant service and drinks from a full bar, is well known for its numerous special screenings and events which celebrate films new and old.  According to a release from the theater s parent company, the company as a whole began the slow process to reopen theaters in August of 2020. At that time, Laredo s Alamo was among a number of  locations that reopened cautiously after closing as positive cases began to be recorded throughout the U.S. in March.
