CVS Pharmacy Begins Administering COVID-19 Vaccines (CVS Health)
IRVINE, CA CVS, after a concentrated effort to provide coronavirus testing to area residents since the pandemic began, will now start vaccinating residents, the company says. CVS will follow the state eligibility rules in setting appointments, starting Feb. 9, and will begin vaccinations on Feb. 11, they reported Tuesday.
Approximately 81,900 total doses of the Moderna vaccine are on limited rollout to CVS, sourced directly from the federal pharmacy partnership program.
In Orange County, CVS Pharmacies located in Huntington Beach, Irvine, and Newport Beach will administer the vaccines.

Elsewhere in California, residents can find vaccines at CVS Pharmacies in Agoura Hills, Bakersfield, Carmel, Carlsbad, Chula Vista, Clovis, Eureka, La Jolla, Los Angeles, Modesto, Monterey, San Diego, San Francisco, Sonoma, Sunnyvale, Ventura, and Yuba City.

ROSSMOOR, CA Two Los Alamitos High School Seniors were named Students of the Month for January and February 2021, the Rossmoor Woman s Club announced.
April Chernila and Leah Huffington both hold the honor for the first months of 2021. April Chernila is the founder and president of the LAHS Girls Coding Club and a Vice President for California Scholarship Federation, a spokesperson for the Rossmoor Woman s Club announced.

Chernila is a four-year member of the LAHS Dance Program and has spent the last two years on Advanced Dance.

CYPRESS, CA The race is on at Los Alamitos Race Course. This week, the California Horse Racing Board decided some action would be taken against a trainer and veterinarian at the track.
State regulators, in a reversal of a decision made last month, Thursday extended an operating license by six months for quarter horse racing at Los Alamitos Race Course, where two horses died last weekend while training at the Cypress track.
According to the board s website, Don t Stop Looking, a 3-year-old filly, and Noor Khan, a 4-year-old mare, died in training related fatalities.
