She was speaking at an inaugural ceremony of imparting training of the master-trainers of the primary school teachers’ on English subject as the chief guest at a city hotel. Putting emphasis on giving training to teachers, she said training is very much important for teachers as the condition of students, who are studying English as a mandatory subject, is not satisfactory.

Govt inks deal with Nagad to distribute stipend to primary students 520 DHAKA, Dec 13, 2020 (BSS) – The government is set to distribute stipends and allowances for accessories among 1.50 crore primary school students through the Postal Department’s digital financial service Nagad. To this end, the Department of Primary Education (DPE) today signed a tripartite agreement with Bangladesh Postal Department and Third Wave Technology Limited to eliminate the hassles that the students and their guardians have been facing in receiving the funds in the last few years, said a press release. Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Alamgir Muhammad Mansurul Alam, Director General (additional charge) of the Bangladesh Postal Department Md Siraz Uddin and Executive Director of Nagad Md Shafayet Alam inked the agreement on behalf of their respective sides at a ceremony at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education at the secretariat in the city.
