An Oakland Chinatown store owner accused of firing multiple rounds at someone who allegedly tried to steal a camera from a woman outside his storefront was released on $60,000 bail Tuesday, authorities said.The Chronicle
An Oakland Chinatown store owner accused of firing multiple rounds at someone who allegedly tried to steal a camera from a woman outside his storefront was released on $60,000 bail Tuesday, authorities said.
The 36-year-old store owner, who officials did not identify, was arrested Monday evening and faces one count of felony assault with a firearm, Alameda County sheriff’s Sgt. Ray Kelly said. Officials did not provide information or a description of the robbery suspect.

Volunteers like Jimmy Bounphengsy and Kelley Mea could be seen walking the streets of Oakland Monday night - Specifically, Oakland s Chinatown and the outlying streets after at least three vicious attacks on seniors. Their message is a simple one. We out here trying to protect and I don t want nobody coming over here with a bad intention and try to hurt somebody!
