Museum on Main and Cantabella Children s Chorus were among the 157 arts and cultural organizations recently awarded grants from Alameda County, totaling $900,000, through its Arts Relief Grant Program.
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act-funded grant program was begun to assist organizations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This program is managed by the Office of the Alameda County Arts Commission under the leadership of Alameda County Auditor-Controller Melissa Wilk and the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. The county recognizes that arts and cultural organizations are an essential part of our community and an instrumental aspect of our economic recovery, Wilk said.
