Citizens have raised concerns over the derelict condition of a pedestrian bridge installed near Aladin Park on Rashid Minhas Road, expressing fear that if it was not repaired, it would continue pose a threat to lives and safety of those using it.
Iron rails on either side of the bridge have broken and stolen, complain citizens, urging the relevant authorities to take immediate measures to repair the bridge. They have put up just a few iron pipes, not longer than four feet in height, on the bridge, pointed out one of the concerned citizen. But the bridge is used by scores, including children accompanied by families visiting the park, every day and in this condition, is a threat to their safety.
