The future Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed in the 1960s. Sheikh Hazza is now Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. The Al Nahyan family is from Al Ain and has remained strongly connected to the Garden City.
