Oman s share index ends marginally lower

Muscat: The MSX index closed at 3,840.14 points, down 0.05 per cent from the previous close. The Sharia Index ended up 0.72 per cent at 550.50 points.
Madina Takaful, up 5.43 per cent, was the top gainer while Voltamp Energy, down 6.45 per cent, was the top loser. The shares of Madina Takaful were the most active in terms of the number of shares traded as well as terms of turnover.
A total number of 1,131 trades were executed during the day s trading session, generating a turnover of OMR6 million, with more than 25 million shares changing hands. Out of 47 traded stocks, 16 advanced, 12 declined and 19 remained unchanged. At the session close, GCC & Arab investors were net sellers for OMR327,000 while local investors were net buyers for OMR203,000 followed by foreign investors for OMR124,000 worth of shares.

National Aluminum Product, up 8.40 per cent, was the top gainer while Dhofar Cattle Feed, down 5.10 per cent, was the top loser. Shares of United Finance were the most active in terms of the number of shares traded while Jazeera Steel Product was most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 1,029 trades were executed during the day s trading session, generating a turnover of OMR3 million, with more than 21 million shares changing hands. Out of 51 traded stocks, 17 advanced, 4 declined and 30 remained unchanged. At the session close, domestic investors were net buyers for OMR98,000 while GCC & Arab investors were net sellers for OMR96,000 followed by foreign investors for OMR2,000 worth of shares.

Shares of Al Sharqiya Investment were the most active in terms of the number of shares traded while Al Anwar Ceramic was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 867 trades were executed during the day s trading session, generating a turnover of OMR2.6 million, with more than 15.8 million shares changing hands. Out of 56 traded stocks, 12 advanced, 15 declined and 29 remained unchanged. At the session close, GCC & Arab investors were net buyers for OMR487,000 while local investors were net sellers for OMR373,000 followed by foreign investors for OMR114,000 worth of shares.
