HMC temporarily shifts Obstetrics Department at Al Wakra Hospital

Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) announced that its Obstetrics Department at Al Wakra Hospital will be temporarily transferred to the Intensive Care Unit at the same hospital.
The temporary shift is to complete renovation and some necessary maintenance at the hospital.
The transfer to the new location is scheduled to take place on February 7 and 8 and services will resume as usual at the original location once maintenance work is completed.
Patients seeking care at the Obstetrics Department during this period will have to proceed to Gate No. 3 to reach the temporary location instead of the main entrance to the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department, tweeted HMC.

Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) announced that Women s Emergency Department at Al Wakra Hospital will be temporarily transferred to Pediatric Emergency Department at the same hospital. The Women s Emergency Department will continue to provide healthcare services to patients at the temporary location until some necessary expansion and renovation works are completed.
The intended works, which pertain to security and safety procedures at the hospital, are expected to last for two consecutive months starting February 8, 2021 after which time services would resume as usual at the original location.
Dr. Lolwa Al Ansari, Head of Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Al Wakra Hospital, stated that Women s Emergency Department treats 80-120 patients daily. It provides expectant women with urgent obstetric, gynecologic, and other medical emergencies healthcare services 24/7
