Across the partner universities Qatar Foundation (QF) helps learners become architects of change and envisage an ecosystem of huge opportunities by constantly designing new avenues. The Peninsula spoke to some graduates about their learning journey at QF. Nour Turki Amin AlAreed, a graduate from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar (VCUarts Qatar), said that QF provided with the opportunity to study at one of the best design schools in the world, from the comfort of the place she calls the campus as home.

Light Art Festival Illuminates Saudi Capital Riyadh Maya Margit 04/04/2021 Dozens of international and local artists take part in inaugural Noor Riyadh festival, which has transformed the city into a huge art gallery Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, has been transformed into a huge art gallery thanks to a large-scale light art festival highlighting the works of over 60 local and international artists. Despite an ongoing travel ban due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the kingdom decided to move forward with the inaugural edition of the Noor Riyadh (‘Noor’ means light in Arabic) festival. The event launched on March 18 features 33 spectacular installations, immersive art experiences and more than 1,000 pieces of public art spread out across the city.
