Model maker extraordinaire and show winner Frank Averes his winning exhibit of Erskine College complete with chapel that once stood in Island Bay, Wellington. “I build big. It had to look like the original chapel within the limitations of lego. “But the formation of the pews, the layout of the chapel behind the alter is pretty close.” Averes, like many, loved Lego as a child, but grew away from it in his teenage years.
