fighters and iranian-backed militias making some progress seizing smaller tounls. inside the city though insurgents like they re doing in palmyra reportedly executing local tribal leaders and anyone accused of links to the government. now, tens of thousands of civilians are fleeing ramadi and many are trapped inside the city and pro-government iraqi troops and not letting civilians out of al anbar province. today iraqi officials took offense at something that secretary of defense carter said which was that the iraqis security forces lost the will to fight in ramadi. iraqi security officials and other politicians inside baghdad said that simply wasn t true. they said that the pentagon simply needs to provide more military equipment and this isn t about whether or not rirk
