Ebonyi gov s aide denies involvement in former coordinator s attack

Share The Special Assistant to Governor David Umahi on Youth Mobilization and Airport development, Hon. Mark Onu, has denied his involvement in the recent attack on the former coordinator of Anuagata Development Center, Barr. Amos Ogbonnaya as speculated on social media. Onu made his feelings known in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday while condemning the attacks on Governor David Umahi by PDP South-East zonal vice chairman, chief Ali Odefa and other members of the party over the attack of G-64 member. According to him, the activities of the so-called G-64 is only to score cheap popularity. Onu, then noted that mentioning his name in the attack by People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members from the state remains a clear plan to bring down his reputation and cause disaffection between him and his master, Governor David Umahi.

Police, soldiers deepening crisis in Ebonyi - PDP

The caretaker chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ebonyi State chapter, Chief Fred Udeogu, on Monday accused the police and soldiers of connivance with the sacked former chairman of the party, Onyekachi Nwaebonyi to inflict injuries on their members while trying to access party secretariat located along Enugu/Abakaliki expressway. The members of Udeogu’s led PDP in the State had gone to take over the Secretariat following a court judgement that restrained Barr Onyekachi Nwebonyi’s-led factional state executive from parading themselves as the officials of the Party. But on getting into the premises of the party’s secretariat, operatives of the Nigeria Police Force and a team of soldiers came and dispersed them.

Minister boycotts site inspection in Ebonyi as stakeholders blame Umahi, Onu s feud

Share Minister for state Mines and Steel, Chief Uche Ogah have boycotted the site inspection of mineral mining cluster in Egu-Ogwu, Uburu in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on Friday. Ogah was expected to be in Uburu for a site inspection of South-east mineral mining cluster (lead/zinc processing) before the news of his boycott was made known by the Permanent Secretary on State Affairs, Mr Austin Udude, after over five hours spent by state dignitaries waiting for the Minister to arrive. Those in attendance before it was announced that the Minister will no longer grace the occasion were all the political office holders in the state, including the Exco members, permanent secretaries, chairmen of Boards and commissions, Chairmen of LGAs, coordinators of Development centres, Traditional Rulers, Algon Chairman and other council chairmen, EAs, STAs, TAs, Akubaraoha Youth Assembly from Ebonyi south zone.
