The Invictus Games for disabled soldiers, founded by Prince Harry, will be hosted in the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital for a week. More than 500 wounded, injured and sick soldiers and veterans from 21 nations will compete against each other in ten sports in Düsseldorf. Around half of the competitors suffer primarily from psychological damage. Harry's wife Meghan is reportedly expected shortly after the opening event in Dusseldoring. The first Invictu Games in London in 2014 were followed by Orlando in 2016, Toronto in 2017, Sydney in 2018 and The Hague in 2022.
